The Mission to Mars

            Today, I am taking a group of specialists to go to Mars. I am very excited that I can’t even think straight. I was my first important mission as an astronaut! No one can stay calm in such an excited condition.

            Even though it sounds very easy, it’s actually not. We need a crew of specialists to solve occasional problems. First, we should take doctors. If some person gets a serious disease that may be infected, we need a doctor. There must be at least two of them, because what if one doctor needs a doctor when she or he gets sick? Next, we need a cook. We will live on Mars, and you must want your food to taste good. Also, we need a person that takes care of pets and plants. We don’t want Mars not to be having no pets and plants. Besides, we need to have a person to deal with special conditions. That person must be able to come up with many ideas in order to let us survive to an occasional and unexpected problem. Finally, we need a captain and astronauts. A captain can fly the spaceship and astronauts know how to be in space.

            It’s finally the time to take off! All the specialists and astronauts went on the spaceship. The ship finally took off! After a blast and a sound “boom”, the whole spaceship is flying in the pitch-black space, with Earth in sight.

            Everything is going well, and six months has passed. Everyone has their own thing to do, so no one gets bored. I went into the cabin and see Tim, a great astronaut, coughing, looking sick. I immediately called the doctor and told her to look at Tim. After a cautious check, the doctor concluded that Tim got a serious disease that may be infecting. Soon after that, people around him start looking sick, too. As the captain of the astronaut, I need to act quick and do the best for the people in the spaceship. This is serious, and everyone may get the disease! I quickly went to discuss with the person that can come up with solutions. He said that we should let the people that are infected be isolated.

            So, we used the cabin as the isolation area. Only the doctor can go into the cabin. Luckily, we have more than enough masks. The doctor and the patients can wear masks. Unluckily, one of the doctors got infected, too. Now, there is a strict problem: there aren’t enough doctors! At that moment, I started to regret of bringing so few doctors. However, it is not the time to regret, I need to act quickly!

            I thought of an idea: First, we should contact Earth and let them come up with some idea. Then, we should come up with better idea that overlaps on Earth’s idea. Then, we should prepare for the idea. Finally, we need to carry out the idea.

            After I told the crew my idea, the crew agreed with their head moving up and down. We contacted Earth and found this solution: we should go back to earth and fail this mission. The spaceship was as loud as a hive of bees when they heard this idea. Some said: “I’m not doing this! We’ve already come so far! Why should we turn back and give up?” Some said: “I agree with Earth’s idea! If we keep wandering around in this disease-filled spaceship, we will all be dead some day!” Others said: “Hey guys, please be quiet! Fighting and shouting won’t solve any problems! We should sit down and discuss together!”

            I personally agree with the discussion idea. I used the max microphone to stop this buzzing beehive. “Please be calm! We won’t survive anything if we don’t calm down and discuss. We are a group, guys. We need to work together and find the best solution, the best solution for our survival! Please come down and work as a team, please!” I said, almost in despair.

            After hours of discussing and analyzing, we found the best way: we need to train a part of the astronauts how to do doctors’ job and treat patients. After we stop this disease, we can go to mars and live there. So, we reported to Earth that we are not listening to them anymore, because we have our own best solution.

            We started carrying the plan out. The only remaining doctor is teaching the astronauts how to be a doctor. After about one month’s training, we only have two months left, but we can control this disease by now.

            After hard work and more tough training, we finally solved the problem! We went to mars successfully and lived there easily! We succeeded!

My Best Ride

Roller Coasters

            There are all kinds of fun games and rides in amusement parks. Most people like Ferris wheels, but I like roller coasters best. Let me tell you about my most favorite ride on a roller coaster.

            If you want to ride a roller coaster, you must have an appropriate height. To ride most roller coasters, you need to get to 130 cm. When you get there, the staff will let you measure your height before you take the ride.

            The most thing I dislike about roller coasters is that you always need to get into a line with countless people. After 45 minutes waiting in the line, I finally get to ride it. I measured my height and got in the roller coaster.

            After the roller coaster was full, it started beeping and we took off. The speed was so fast that my belly turned a little bit itchy. After some time, it slowed down and started climbing. “Oh, no! It is going to go down so fast! It is like a cliff! The speed will be faster than before!” Someone shouted. After knowing this bad news, every single person in this roller coaster started screaming and shouting, including me.

            When it reached the top, it stopped. People don’t know why, so they started to say “phew”. Meanwhile, no one was alarmed that the roller coaster wants to give us a surprise. The roller coaster suddenly sped off to the ground and made everyone’s heart beat harder than ever.

            Afterwards, it continued to go extremely fast until it stopped in front of a cave. There’s no track leading in the cave, so the rollercoaster went backwards!

Everyone started screaming again, and I even want to throw up because of this speed.

            Finally, the roller coaster stopped. This ride is full of happiness, and I love this ride!

                        

Giraffes' Adaptation

                            Animals’ Adaptation

          A lot of animals change and adapted in order to survive. Today, I am going to tell you why and how giraffes change。

          Giraffes are tall animals that live in East Africa and Southwestern Africa.They are tall, because they need to eat leaves that grow in trees. They are unique because of the hight. Giraffes has brown spots. They are usually thin, and they run fast. They often spend their time eating and sleeping.

          Long ago, giraffes are short. They eat leaves and plants on the ground. However, they soon found out there weren’t enough food from the ground. They have to eat the leaves on the trees, or they will starve to death. What should they do?

          Then, an unexpected thing happened. The giraffes adapted in order to live and survive. They slowly became taller and taller. After they finished growing, they could reach the tree. They finally can eat well!

          If the giraffes didn’t adapted, they may be instinct. Luckily, they found out a way to survive, and they lived well. This is the adaptation of giraffes.

                

 

 

Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden

         Botanical gardens can be very useful. They can provide plants from different parts of the world, and maybe some plants are very rare. People can also enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax. Let me tell you about my botanical garden, which will include: the layout and design, the purpose of botanical gardens, and the areas.

            First, let us talk about the layout and design. This part is very important, because it will be ugly if you don’t design the garden neatly. I would put plants in the order of countries. If the plant is from Canada, it will be in the Canada’s section. In each countries’ section, the plants will be organized in colors. Red will be the first, orange is the second, and so on.

            Next, let’s talk about the areas of the botanical garden. There will be three areas. The first one will be the greenhouse area. The second will be the place to buy food and drinks. The third one will be the grass area. For the first one, I would put the special kinds of plants that needs special care in the greenhouse. They will be watered, and the greenhouse’s temperature will be checked every day. For the second area, I would set up a place much like a cafeteria, which will include many kinds of delicious food. The grass area would be good for tourists sitting on it. Some tourists can have picnics, some can play and run on the field, some can even enjoy the sun and sleep.

            Finally, let’s talk about the purpose of building this botanical garden. For one reason, which is very important, is to let students and even adults learn more about plants and be closer with nature. There will be a sign beside each kind of plant so that people could know where they are from, what name does it has, and how to take care of it. Another reason is that people can enjoy and relax. Some people work hard and rarely relaxes. If these people want to relax, a botanical garden is a good choice. The last reason is that people can exercise there. Some people can jog there every day, some people can look at the plants and enjoy the beautiful flowers, and some people can take photos.

            Isn’t a botanical garden useful, relaxing, and beautiful? These gardens are actually good for your health, because you can exercise there, and the plants will give you some fresh air. This is all about my botanical garden, do you like it?

My Birthday!!!

    It was my birthday yesterday! My friend, Cecilia, came over to my house to celebrate even though there's coronavirus. Only she came because she lives the closest and my parent don't want many people to come to my house.
   I was so happy about my birthday because I can eat cakes, get presents, get no homework (except school homework), and play with computers.
    After Cecilia came to my house, we started to watch mystery videos in youtube( Unigirl's mystery blogs gave me this idea), and we both love it! Then, Cecilia told me how to paint on clothes (which I was not very interested in). After that, we played and made slime, which is something like play-deo(is it spelled like that?). We had so much fun that we spent the whole afternoon doing these two things.
    After my Mom when home, everyone took a bath(except for Cecilia and I, because we are playing), and we started to eat dinner. Cecilia and I ate quicker than everyone else so that we can eat the cake earlier. The cake was small but yummy. It is chocolate-flavored with strawberries on it. We ate until our bellies are full, so we went outside for some sports and fun.
    We played half an hour outside and then went home to watch mystery videos again. When it was at eight thirty, my dad and I brought Cecilia home. I didn't want her to go home, because I want to play more.
    This is all about my ten-years-old birthday, it was fun!!!

My Backyard

  If someone asks you a thing that you want, what would you answer? If someone asks what I want, I would love to have a backyard. I don't live in a big house like villas in America, so my home doesn't have a front yard nor a backyard. If I can have one, I will be extremely happy!

  If I do have a backyard, I would plant some flowers and vegetables. I would plant some fruit trees, too. The vegetables and fruits I would plant are: First, I would plant nine tomatoes in a row. Then, I would plant nine eggplants in a row. Next, I would plant nine blueberries in a row. Finally, I would plant nine different kinds of melons in a row. I love to eat oranges, apples, and peaches, so maybe I can plant these fruit trees. I would put some flower bushes on the edges of the backyard and some fences beyond the bushes. If there are many crops, I would build some stone paths in order to walk there. I need to water the crops every day so that they can grow very healthy. There is also a chair, a table, and a huge umbrella. The umbrella can help me get away from the sun and rain. I can sit on the chair and read books. I can also put a glass of lemonade on the table so I can drink it when I am thirsty. For fun, I can put a swing in the spare places so I can play on it whenever I am bored. 

  This is all about what I want and how I want to design my own backyard. I would go there to relax and play everyday. I love my backyard!

My Superpower

                                                              A Great Superpower
  In the present world, real magic is impossible for humans. But, imagine that you've got a chance to choose a superpower, what would you choose? Well, let me tell you what I would choose!
  If I get to choose a superpower, I would choose a power to run ver, very, extremely fast. First, I am a girl that never gets enough sleep, so I've always wanted to run very fast in order to get to school immediately. If I can get to school immediately, I can sleep very long. When I don't have this superpower, I will have to wake up in 7o'clock in order to get enough time to brush my teeth, eat breakfast, and most important: get to school. When I have this superpower, I can wake up at 30 minutes past seven, because I can get to school immediately.
  Then, I want this superpower because I always run very slow. In order to win some running races(to get some achievements and trophies) and pass some P.E. contests, I would like to run fast. Every time, I run so slow that nobody can be slower than me. This makes a shame of me. So, if I have this superpower, I will no longer be ashamed and the slowest.
  Finally, this superpower can be very useful for catching trains and planes. For example, when you want to catch a train, but there's no taxi to ride you there, you can run as fast as the taxi to go to the train station. This is why I want this superpower.

My Busy Day

My Busy Day

  I have a busy day. If I need to know what to do next, I have to write a timeline. Now, let me tell you about my busy day.

I wake up at eight o’clock in the morning everyday. Then, I eat breakfast and get ready for 30 minutes. At eight thirty, I open my laptop and use the meeting ID to go to school(if there's no coronavirus, it won't be like"open my laptop"). The class in the morning ends at ten thirty. I play and relax until 11 o’clock. After that, I start to play piano for one hour.

At 12 o’clock, when I finished playing piano, I eat lunch. I usually finish eating lunch at twelve thirty. Then, I write my homework for one hour. That is when I start to participate in the afternoon class. My afternoon class ends at two thirty. After school, the first thing I do is to finish my curricular homework and extracurricular homework.

At five pm, I always go outside to play with my old classmates. Playing with them was so much fun! I go home at six pm. I take a bath and eat dinner. At night, I often read books and have some extracurricular classes.

  I go to sleep at ten pm. That’s when my day ends, and I am waiting for a brand new day!

The Magical Wishing Mirror

  One day, I woke up to find a mirror on the wall. I don't know how it got there, but it was just there, hanging on the wall. Then, I yawed: "I wish school starts later, so I can sleep longer." I am a student who never want to sleep at night, but never want to wake up in the morning, either.
  When I took the last look of the mirror, I saw it shining magically, but I don't know why. So, I ate a bread, put on my clothes, and hurried outside. Surprisingly, and weirdly, my mom said: "What's the hurry? School starts at 10o'clock! I've never seen you woke up so early!" I said: "What are you thinking? You must be so sleepy that you don't even remember that school starts at 8o'clock! I'll be late!" Then, I hurried outside, not waiting for her reply.
  When I arrived at school, I was so astonished that I can't even believe my own eyes! In front of me, a locked school stood there with not a single student in it. On the gate, a sign said: School starts at 10o'clock. What??? When did school changed its starting time? I got so confused.
  Then, an idea flashed through my mind: What if the mirror is a wishing mirror that can make wishes come true. Remember, I wished that school starts later, and the mirror shone magically! It must be the mirror! So, I rushed to back home, avoiding my mom's "I told you that school starts 10o'clock", and stood in front of the mirror. The was a paper that wrote: This is a wishing mirror. It will choose a wall to hang on. The person who saw the mirror must make two wishes to make it disappear. Be careful, if you are around the mirror and speak wishes to yourself, the wished will come true immediately!
  After I read this paper, I wished for school's starting time to be normal again. After I wished for this, the mirror disappeared. I went back to school with the teacher saying: "Why are you late again?" It was so fortunate and good that the mirror can make two wishes come true before it disappeared. Not counting on that I got beaten by my mom because I was late for school, at least school's starting time is back to normal, phew!

Egg Tart

                                                           The Delicious Egg Tart
  "Yum!" I said, after I took a first bite of the egg tart. Today, my Mom was in a mood of making egg tarts, and it was extremely delicious!
  First, Mom poured an equal amount of Milk into a bowl. She then put some sugar in and started to mix them together. The "stir and mix tool" made a "xiiiiii----- xiiiiii----" sound which made me feel cold. I hate that sound, so I ran off to avoid that sound(I don't know how mom can bear that sound!).
  Than, Mom added two eggs into the milk-and-sugar(she finally finished her crazy stirring). Then, she started stirring again! So, I ran off again and put on some ear cups so I can both see my mom making the egg tart and avoid the sound. The white milk-and-sugar became a yellowish orange color.
  Finally, and fortunately, Mom started to put cream into the tart, so the stirring ended(phew!). She then put the milk-sugar-egg-and-cream into a model plate. She put the modal plate into the oven to make it cooked. After a few minutes, the whole house was filled with the tarts' good smell. The egg tart was finally finished, and we can all enjoy it!

My Opinion About Driverless Cars

Driverless Cars

In the future, driverless cars may be all over the world. Everyone will like the nice environment that driverless cars give them. Let me tell you the reasons why driverless cars are good: save time, safety, and convenient.

First, driverless cars save time. When you are on a driverless car, you don’t need to focus on driving, you can do something else. For example, you can sleep if you are sleepy, you can also write homework or do some work. You can do two things in the same time: going to a place, resting or working.

Next, driverless cars can be safer. These cars can act quickly to obstacles. When people are driving, they may get distracted by a telephone call or they may get sleepy. However, driverless cars never get sleepy nor distracted. Though driverless cars can’t make accidents disappear, they can at least save most of them.

Finally, they will be very convenient. If people are blind, disabled, or drunk, they can use a driverless car. These people will be happy and can get to places without any effort. Drunk problems will be no longer a concern for polices.

Yellowstone National Park

  Yellowstone national park, a relaxing park, was popular in the US. This park itself is a gigantic volcano that doesn’t often irrupt. People go there to see the wildlife and some steamboat geysers. That’s why Yellowstone National Park is famous: the steam, the wildlife, and the enormous volcano.

  First, let’s talk about the location. Yellowstone National Park is located in the United States of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. There are three places to enter the park, and they are at the border of the three states that I just mentioned. 96% of the park is in Wyoming, three% is in Montana, and one% of the park is in Idaho.

  Next, let’s talk about nature and wildlife. Yellowstone’s wildlife is as famous as the steam geysers. There are two sections in wildlife, one is plants, one is animals. First, let’s talk about plants. There are thousands of wildflowers in this national park. They are small, beautiful and natural. There are many kinds of trees, too. Lodgepole pines, white bark pines, Engelmann spruces, white spruces, subalpine firs, rocky mountain junipers, common junipers, and limber spines are only a part of them. Animals are a large part of Yellowstone park. You can often see these kinds of animals: elk, mule deer, black bears, foxes, and coyotes. There are smaller populations of: brown grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mountain goats, and moose. There are also small mammals like badgers, rabbits, shrews, and a variety of bats. There are lots of birds, too. Most of the birds are songbirds and woodpeckers. There are countless kinds of birds in Yellowstone National Park. 

Finally, let’s talk about how famous this park is, what popular sites it has, and the history of it. This park has about 3 million visitors per year. It has many popular sites. The “Grand Prismatic Spring” is one of them. It is the largest hot spring in the United States. “Yellowstone Lake” is also popular. It covers 136 square miles with 110 miles of shoreline. Yellowstone National Park is one of the oldest, biggest, and most well-known parks in the world. It has so many wildlife, nature, and popular sites.
